The use of social media among adolescents has increased significantly and has brought various psychological impacts, including stress, anxiety, and decreased academic performance. In the context of Muslim adolescents, this phenomenon poses specific challenges as it potentially creates value conflicts with Islamic teachings. However, previous studies have largely focused on quantitative aspects such as usage duration, without exploring the subjective meaning of adolescents in dealing with social media addiction. This study employed a qualitative phenomenological design involving five groups of informants, namely Muslim adolescents, parents, Islamic counselors, teachers/ustadz, and peers, with in-depth interviews as the primary instrument. The findings revealed that Islamic counseling successfully transformed adolescent behavior through the reinforcement of spiritual values, enhanced self-awareness, and regulated social media use, ultimately contributing to the development of a more balanced character in both digital and spiritual life.
