The development of digital technology has become a crucial factor in global development, including in education, public services, and community economic activities. However, rural communities often experience digital disparities due to limited infrastructure, low digital skills, and uneven access to technological resources. This study was conducted because systematic qualitative evidence on digital literacy empowerment through a community-based service learning approach in villages remains limited. The research employed a qualitative method with in-depth interviews involving village officials, local teachers, student participants, community leaders, and villagers to explore experiences, challenges, and strategies for digital literacy empowerment. The findings indicate that service learning interventions can enhance villagers’ digital skills, strengthen self-confidence, and foster local initiatives for program sustainability. These results provide practical implications for developing community-based digital literacy programs, strengthening local capacity, and supporting inclusive digital development strategies in rural areas.
